La Villa La Florangerie is unlike any other hotel in Strasbourg’s Orangerie district. The building dates from the 1950s and has kept the lines of its era, but the interior was completely redesigned in 2019. You open the door and step into a bright, almost silent lobby, where pale wood and soft tones set the tone for the stay.

Thirty-one rooms and suites are spread over several floors, ranging from 14 to 43 square meters depending on the category. Air conditioning, flat-screen TV, refined bedding: the standards of a 4-star hotel are all here, without any fuss. Some suites go further, with a hydro-massage bathtub placed directly in the room. You can spend an hour there without guilt, the window slightly open onto the quiet neighborhood.

That is also its downside: the cathedral and Petite France are reached by tram or bus, about a twelve-minute ride, not on foot when leaving the hotel. Bus C6 stops two hundred meters away, a simple option for anyone not renting a car.

In the evening, the Florangerie bar stays open until 9:30 p.m. It serves Alsace wines, house cocktails, and a selection of spirits. The terrace and garden invite you to extend the evening outside when the season allows, between two dips in the outdoor pool.
