You push open the door and the neighborhood’s silence follows. The surrounding streets are quiet, almost residential, even though the Council of Europe and the European Parliament are only a few minutes’ walk away.

Each room has its own color, its own materials. Here, a range of grays and bronze; there, a more assertive graphic pattern. Fabrics, cushions, curtains, and carefully chosen furniture: nothing looks the same from one door to the next, and that is perhaps what stands out most when going upstairs.

Speaking of going upstairs: there is no elevator here. The villa has kept its original staircase, its private-house proportions. For the rooms on the second level, under the eaves, with exposed beams and cathedral ceilings, you have to climb. A detail to keep in mind if you are traveling with heavy luggage or reduced mobility, but the atmosphere you discover at the top, with slanting light under the old roof structure, quickly makes you forget the stairs.

The Superior rooms remain compact, between 15 and 19 m², designed for two people with a double bed. The Deluxe rooms offer more space, 21 to 26 m², some with a balcony or small terrace overlooking the inner garden. Adjustable air conditioning in each room, double glazing: the calm outside continues indoors.

On the ground floor, the bar stays open late, until 11 p.m., for a last drink or a coffee at the end of the workday. Between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., it is tea-time, with pastries and teas at the counter, and a glass of champagne for those who want to extend the afternoon.

In the morning, the buffet starts at 7 a.m. on weekdays, 7:30 a.m. on weekends. Organic pastries, artisanal jams, coffee from a local roaster: the selection changes little but remains refined, and nothing prevents you from having it brought up to your room to enjoy it in peace, or even on the terrace when the room has one.

As for parking, it is best to check before arriving. The hotel does not have an adjacent private parking lot: spaces can be found in the nearby streets or in a garage by reservation. In Strasbourg, where parking can sometimes feel like a treasure hunt, this is no minor detail, even if the neighborhood remains generally easy in the evening.

The reception, however, never closes. Multilingual staff, 24-hour concierge service, a note slipped onto a city map or a table reserved for the evening. Nothing showy, just attention that lasts throughout the stay.

When you head out, make your way to Orangerie Park for a walk before breakfast. The ducks are early risers there, and the air is fresher than elsewhere at that hour.
