Hotel Le 21ème is in Strasbourg, on a street in the city center that leads almost to Place Kléber. Petite France starts two streets further on, and Place de l’Homme de Fer, where buses, trams and taxis converge, is less than a hundred meters away. Drop off your bags and you are already there.

Twenty-four rooms, all renovated. The walls have been treated against street noise, which matters in this neighborhood where the terraces stay busy late into the evening. A safe at reception, an elevator, Wi-Fi that works without interruption. Nothing spectacular in the decor, light tones, simple furnishings, but everything works.

One point to note before booking: the rooms are not accessible to people with reduced mobility. The floors and bathrooms were not designed for that, so it is better to know in advance rather than discover it on arrival.

Thirty meters farther on, on the same street, seven accommodations complete the offer: studios and apartments from 20 to 45 m², with kitchenette, dining area, and sometimes a mezzanine. Convenient for a stay of several days or for a family that would rather cook one evening than go out. The downside is that you have to leave the hotel to reach them; there is no internal corridor connecting the two buildings.

In the morning, breakfast is served in the dining room or brought directly to your room. There is no restaurant on site for the rest of the day: the hotel does not try to keep guests inside its walls; instead, it sends them out, toward the cathedral ten minutes away on foot, the Museum of Fine Arts, or the Vauban Dam.

For meals, several well-known seafood restaurants are just a few streets away: La Cambuse, Mademoiselle 10, L'Alsace à table. They are easy to reach on foot from the hotel.

For the car, a paid parking lot is located just across the street, at a negotiated rate for hotel guests. Reception remains open 24 hours a day, which helps for an evening train or an early flight.

One last detail: during the Christmas market period, the parking lot across the street fills up quickly after 5 p.m. Better to keep that in mind if you arrive early, or leave the car elsewhere for the evening.
