The lobby feels like a reimagined departure lounge, with a foosball table in one corner, an arcade machine switched on at all times, and a popcorn machine running without anyone really knowing for whom.

You go up to the 48 rooms by stairs or elevator; all are air-conditioned and soundproofed. Those facing the street benefit from an electric shutter that, once lowered, cuts out the city light and noise in one swift move. The nights are quiet there. Some rooms, deeper than they are wide, leave a bit less space between the bed and the bathroom door: it is better to mention this when booking if you are traveling as a couple, so they can direct you to a room with a more open layout.

On the ground floor, the breakfast room gets going early. A generous buffet, sweet and savory, with pastries still warm depending on the time. A record player spins a vinyl as the room fills up, a detail that surprises you the first time and then becomes something you look for the next day.
