The Appart Hotel Odalys City Strasbourg Green Marsh directly overlooks the area around Place des Halles in Strasbourg. Step out of the lobby and you are almost immediately at the hundred or so shops in the shopping center, the Faubourg de Saverne tram stop just a few meters away, and the TGV station about a five-minute walk away. For anyone arriving with suitcases on a Friday evening, the route to the room takes only a few minutes.

The property reopened in September 2025 after a complete renovation. The hallways, reception, and common areas have all been redesigned, with a more contemporary palette and materials that still smell new. At reception, open day and night, the staff speak several languages. Handy when you arrive late on a Tuesday night, or when you’re looking for a good place to eat choucroute in the neighborhood.

The 56 studios and apartments focus on functionality. Each one has a fully equipped kitchenette, ceramic hob, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, everything needed to improvise dinner without going out. Air conditioning operates in summer. The decor varies from room to room. In the bathroom, a hairdryer and towel warmer complete the setup. Three studios called Espace are designed for guests with reduced mobility, including an accessible shower.

Breakfast is served buffet-style from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., for an additional fee payable on site. It is not included in the room rate, which leaves you free to try an Alsatian bakery two streets away one morning, or to enjoy the buffet without rushing on another day.

In the basement, the wellness area offers a pool with swan-neck jets and massaging nozzles, a hammam, and showers. Access is only available by prior reservation, sometimes for private use only. This requires a bit of planning, but it guarantees you can enjoy the pool without sharing it with ten other guests at the same time.

Step outside and Petite France can be reached on foot in about ten minutes, with Notre-Dame Cathedral a little farther on. Krutenau, the banks of the Ill River, and the European institutions district (Council of Europe, European Parliament) are all within a reasonable walking distance. In the evening, the taverns in the center serve choucroute in an atmosphere that has very little in common with Parisian brasseries.

Covered parking is available for those arriving by car, for an additional fee. For a stay of several days during the Christmas market season, it is best to reserve your space in advance.

One last point before you go: housekeeping only comes once per stay. It is worth asking for extra towels on arrival if you are staying more than three nights.
