City Résidence Strasbourg Centre is located on Rue des Magasins, less than ten minutes on foot from the train station. The entrance is easy to spot almost immediately, right opposite the Halles shopping gallery, with its late-opening supermarket and its shop windows lighting up after dark. The studios and apartments are spread over several floors, all furnished and all equipped with a kitchenette. A refrigerator, a microwave, a few pans, and full tableware are waiting on the countertop. You drop off your bags, open the cupboards, and the independence of the stay takes shape from the very first minutes.

On the ground floor, reception remains open day and night. Convenient for late arrivals or early-morning departures, between meetings at the European Parliament or a TGV connection. The staff know the regulars, greet returning guests by name, and can readily point out the shortest route to the cathedral or Petite France.

In the rooms, the air conditioning runs in summer, the flat-screen TV offers a few themed channels, and the desk easily accommodates a business traveler’s laptop. One thing to know before booking: daily housekeeping is not automatic, and cleaning takes place only on certain days. This fits quite well with the spirit of an aparthotel designed for independence, but it is better to ask for extra towels or toilet paper at reception if the stay lasts longer.

In the evening, the kitchenette takes back its role. You can prepare a flammekueche bought at the market, or simply head to the neighboring district to try a choucroute garnie before coming back to sleep without having to go out again.

One last tip for early risers: the convenience store across the street opens earlier than the breakfast room. Handy for a coffee before anyone else.
