TRIBE Strasbourg Centre Gare
Hotel 4-star in Strasbourg
Presentation
TRIBE Strasbourg Centre Gare opens in autumn 2026, right opposite the station, in the walls of the former Mercure, completely redesigned for the occasion.
As you push open the door, your gaze is drawn upward. A glass roof covers the lobby and the patio, and bright light falls across the low sofas and high tables shared between reading, work, and small meetings. It is an easy place to stop for a coffee, even without a room booked, between two trains.
Upstairs, the 68 rooms focus on function rather than spectacle: careful bedding, fast wifi, air conditioning. The TRIBE brand, born in Australia, prefers the essentials done well to gimmicks, and that is evident even in the bathroom fittings. There is no pool or large spa here, only a small gym for those who want to keep up their routine while travelling.
On the ground floor, the bar serves signature cocktails at the end of the day. The menu then shifts to light dining for those who do not have time to go out for dinner. Right next door, in the coworking area, you can set up your laptop from the morning and return later in the evening.
From breakfast onward, the hotel highlights local products, served early for morning trains, and until noon in-room for those who linger a little longer.
The location itself could hardly be better: the TGV station is one hundred metres away, the tram and bus lines are right opposite, the A35 is four minutes away by car, and Wodli car park is two minutes away with a negotiated rate for guests. This proximity does, however, have a fairly obvious downside: the rooms facing the station catch a little more of the square’s activity, so it is worth asking for a high floor or a courtyard view if you are a light sleeper.
Step out on foot and Petite France is a two-minute walk away; the cathedral and the Galeries Lafayette are not far either. The European Parliament and the Congress Palace are also within easy reach for business stays.
One last tip for the evening: ask for a table at the bar facing the patio rather than the street, where the glass roof’s light is softer once night falls.
